Prudential Preferred Realty’s newest team member is lifelong Woburn resident Valerie Cogan, who says she is ready to translate her success as a personal customer service professional into the real estate field with someone she has long admired. Valerie’s most recent work includes her role as family liaison in Winchester Hospital’s Emergency Room, where she works a fast-paced night shift helping people in need of immediate care move through the admitting process. She has also served the hospital as a nursing assistant on the medical surgical floor. In addition, Valerie worked as a hair stylist for 19 years, 12 of which she held part ownership of a business within the House of Style in Stoneham. Now that Jenna and Madison are a little bit older, says Valerie, she’s excited to be utilizing her experience with personal and critical-care customer service to assist people in another significant life experience—finding the perfect home. Valerie, a fifth generation Woburnite, grew up in the Central Square area of Woburn with her sister Meredith and their parents, Bob and Lorraine Cogan. She is a graduate of Arlington Catholic High School, and says she can’t imagine living anywhere else.
“Woburn has so much to offer, and has grown into a rich, diverse and multicultural community. There’s something for everyone,” says Valerie. “It also provides a great opportunity to buy a house with a yard in a nice community for a more affordable price than surrounding cities and towns,” says Valerie.
